Discover how DataRobot helps you gain important insights about your data to solve key business problems and build the foundational skills to create predictive models that bring value to your organization. This mission guides you through the process of completing AutoML projects and provides an in-depth look at each stage of the Machine Learning Life Cycle.
This mission replaces DataRobot Essentials, which is its equivalent. If you have previously taken DataRobot Essentials, you do not need to take this mission. This mission is equivalent to DataRobot for Data Scientists but designed for non-data scientists. Participants should choose one or the other (not both) depending on their level of expertise.
Mission format and duration: virtual instructor-led, hands-on, 10.5 hours
By the end of this mission, you will be able to:
Identify potential applications of AI to solve business problems
Define a problem to solve with machine learning
Recognize common data prep issues and how datasets are structured
Perform exploratory data analysis
Determine an appropriate prediction target and remove target leakage
Identify automated feature engineering in DataRobot
Select features for model building
Train and validate classification and regression models with DataRobot
Assess model quality based on relevant metrics and evaluation tools
Investigate and understand relationships that models have learned
Explain reasons for model predictions
Select an appropriate model for deployment
Generate predictions using a DataRobot model
Understand basic options to deploy and document a DataRobot model
Who should complete this mission?
This mission is intended for people who are new to machine learning, or have done some modeling but only in academic (not professional) settings. This includes:
Citizen Data Scientists
Data Scientists with minimal modeling experience
Business Analysts
Data Analysts
Data Engineers
Software Engineers
Technical requirements
